Our client is a growing multi-disciplined Architecture/Engineering firm that has been serving their clients for 4 decades. They are a full service architectural/engineering firm with seven locations in New York State. As an Instrument Operator you will report to the Director of Land Surveying and this will primarily be a field role, performing control, boundary and topographic surveys. Partial list of Responsibilities are below – a full job description can be provided to qualified/interested candidates: Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Assist Party Chief in survey field activities, including: Operation of total station and GNSS equipment Perform necessary collimation and maintenance of survey equipment. Field reconnaissance of property evidence. Work well in team environment and follow direction of the Party Chief. Assist with ensuring quality checks are implemented, and job safety procedures are being followed.

Qualifications:

Instrument Operator:

3+ years’ experience in land surveying Valid Driver’s license required, with clean driving record. Bachelors or Associates degree in Land Surveying, a plus Experience with NYSDOT survey procedures, a plus Experience with Trimble robotics, a plus Experience with Leica GNSS, a plus Experience with terrestrial LiDAR, a plus Experience with sUAS, a plus Ability to perform physical work (i.e., strenuous walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying / loading equipment, etc.)

Salary & Benefits:
