OVERVIEW
dormakaba is seeking a first shift (6AM – 2:30PM) Brake Press/ Shear Operator based in Reamstown, PA. The Brake Press/ Shear Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and performing simple programming to the brake press and Shear. Also responsible for setting up and operating other types of metal forming equipment.
HOURLY HIRING RANGE
$25/hr. – $29/hr. plus mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). WHAT YOU WILL DO
Set up brake press and other metal forming equipment to bend, notch, punch, or straighten various parts Set up shear and other metal cutting equipment and operate to cut materials to desired dimensions Prepare, load and unload material for operation Check width, length, and angles of metal as listed on blueprints or specification drawings Read and understand work orders and/or drawings to produce required parts for finished products Inspect parts for defects after being processed and take action if needed
WHAT WE REQUIRE
High school diploma and/or GED Certification 2 years’ experience of applicable manufacturing experience Reading and understanding blueprints and mechanical drawings Ability to use protractor, calipers and tape measure Knowledge and understanding of basic arithmetic Strong mechanical abilities
