- 1:00pm to 9:30pm (1/2-hour meal break plus two 10-minute rest breaks)
- Job Overview
- This full-time production job is responsible for sanding/grinding Fiberglass products with precision and attention to detail. Assures all product is finished in accordance with established standards and quality control. Follows all company rules and regulations, including TOSHA and Safety.
- Primary Responsibilities
- Grind and Sand minimum of 25 parts per day
- Learn various mold parts to become familiar with products
- Transports molds rom staging area into the grinding/sanding booth to start work
- Sands and grinds fiberglass sumps to acquire quality finished product
- Inspect a product to ensure the finished product passes all established reliability and quality standards
- Ability to work long days producing products wearing protective equipment (PPE) from head to toe in a hot environment, including wearing a face shield and/or a respirator mask
- Ability to learn a process quickly and adapt to a high pace manufacturing plant
- Ability to produce product with high attention to detail to maintain high quality standards
- Follows all company policies, rules and regulations, including TOSHA and Safety
- Perform other related tasks as needed for the department.
- Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing, constructions, or wholesale
- Punctual, responsible and reliable
- Must have 2 years of commercial power tool experience (sander, grinder, repairing rolls
- Team Player, Attention to detail
- Ability to follow direction well and learn tasks easily
- Being in close proximity with and working with Resin and other hazardous catalysts
- Ability to work long hours in a hot environment during summer months. Must pass respirator test and mask fitting test.
- Other Requirements
- Standing/Walking 80% (lifting, bending, walking throughout the warehouse
- Able to twist, turn, stop, push, pull, squat, reach above the shoulder, and other physical movements throughout the working shift
- Ability to stand on feet from 8-10 hours a day.
