Description:
HAZMAT/ LOGISTICS

services in support of Naval Oceanographic Command (NAVOCEANO) and Naval Special Warfare Group Four (NSWG4) compliment to include the Special Boat Training Team 22 and NAVSCIATTS, hereinafter referred as “CHRIMP Program”, located at Stennis Space Center, MS. The contractor shall provide all necessary personnel supervision, and management to support the CHRIMP operation and the Hazardous Minimization Center (HAZMINCEN). The contractor shall perform the following support task.

CHRIMP Program Project Management Support:

Contractor must be available daily to perform on-site support for the CHRIMP program support. Responsible for the management of the Consolidated Hazardous Material Reutilization and Inventory Management Program (CHRIMP) and operating the HAZMIN Center for the command. Manage a computerized HAZMAT tracking program to assess and analyze customer needs: Track procurement of all non-exempted HAZMAT Create and produce an Authorized User List (AUL) for each assigned cost center. Produce master inventory record card tracking on all HAZMAT material. Produce bar code tracking information to ensure

material is accounted for in accordance with Navy. Policy assistance Material accurately stowed and identified in designated hazmat lockers. Perform monthly HAZMAT locker inspections. Maintain an inventory of all Hazardous Material used onboard CHRIMP Program. Occasional delivery to or collection from CHRIMP Program work centers is incidental to the performance of functions. Maintain a Master Library of all Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Assist user(s) upon request to ensure all procured HAZMAT has an MSDS on file in the CHRIMP Center. Review and validate Authorized User’s List (AUL) and MSDS for all requisitions/ purchase orders for all HAZMAT purchases. Coordinate input with the Safety and Environmental Office to review and revise departmental AUL’s as necessary. Ensure Safety and Environmental Office approval on all requests for HAZMAT not included on the AUL. Ensure that material is issued to authorized users and all documentation including MSDS is provided. At the close of business each workday, provide a “Daily Transaction” report to the Transportation Officer. Incidental use of government vehicles Incidental use of material handling equipment (Forklift) is required for offloading trucks to designated staging areas. Perform pre- operational maintenance checks and inspections on vehicles and forklift prior to operating loading, offloading, and staging of material and equipment (Daily). Complete written inspection reports and inform the government representative of any required maintenance/repairs. Report all hazardous spills immediately to the government supervisor

Requirements:

Skills And Knowledge Required for

The Positions Listed Below:

Knowledge in operation of computer equipment including the following computer software programs and their respective applications: Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Power Point) and Access databases. Knowledge of major supply system functions. Knowledge of Logistics computer application programs relating to requisition processing and related databases. Operate handling equipment up to 6K lbs. OSHA forklift certification with Medical Examiner Cert

required. Contractor is required to complete OSHA Approved 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (HAZWOP) Course. All cost to obtain and maintain certification are at Contractor’s Expense. Secret Clearance (Required)
