Non-Exempt Purpose:
Perform general labor activities associated with hydroblasting, vacuuming, and industrial cleaning services. Perform industrial hydro blasting work and associated labor in outages, shutdowns, turnarounds, and general maintenance scopes. Technician 3 has the ability to work independently and has mastered the use of all non-mechanical tools and procedures. This position does not operate pump or vac truck.
Essential Functions:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. Performs basic wet and dry vacuum truck operation & functions. Performs basic Hydroblasting Services, including Lance/Shotgun operation. Load and unload equipment, tools, and supplies. Performs manual tasks and assists Operators and Crew Leaders. Clean vehicles, trucks, and equipment. Performs safety procedures, including lock-out tag out, confined space entry, housekeeping, and company-specific procedures. Ensures proper use of the equipment and notifies potential issues or concerns to Crew Leader and/or Branch Manager. •May periodically use computers for training purposes.•Ensures that tasks are performed safely with the highest level of quality and integrity. Wear and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE.) This includes but is not limited to multiple combinations of respirators, skin, face, hand, and foot protection. Works when scheduled and complies with the company attendance policy. Attends all safety and health training, as required. Travel is required, sometimes for long periods, to perform this work.
Marginal Functions:

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
(these are required to enable job holders to perform the job’s essential functions). Ability to use a hand-held radio. Ability to communicate effectively with the crew and division personnel and negotiate with members of all backgrounds and personalities. Must be able to operate a utility/pickup truck for hauling people and equipment. Must be able to enter Confined Spaces such as close quarters, crawl spaces, manholes, and other areas which could cause claustrophobia for cleaning purposes. Must have knowledge and ability to operate high-pressured water-blaster and vacuum equipment. Must be able to read, write and communicate in English effectively. Must possess a safety-first, positive attitude and work as a team. Must be able to follow all safety policies and procedures while contributing to and maintaining a safe, clean and orderly work environment
Qualifications:
Must complete all pre and post-training, including safety, new hire, and regulatory. Must complete all required safety-related training including, but not limited to
TWIC, 10
Hour OSHA, Confined Space, Confined Space Entry, Hazardous Materials Emergency Response, Breathing Air Equipment Training and Fit Test, Aerial Lift Training, Lock Out Tag Out, Heat Stress, MSHA, Defensive Driving, Hazard Communications, and
H2S. 1-2
years of physical work in industrial or construction experience preferred; mechanical abilities helpful but not required. Must have reliable transportation and a means of communication such as a cell phone Must be able to pass a drug test, background, and motor vehicle check.
Specific Licenses:
Valid State-issued Driver’s License and ID required.
Work conditions:
Industrial setting, outside environment, exposure to extreme temperatures and elements possible; noisy conditions, exposure to hazardous chemicals.
Physical Conditions:
Must be physically capable of performing all duties and responsibilities. Ability to lift and carry 75-100 pounds. Extended periods of standing; walking; climbing; pushing/pulling; squatting/kneeling; Must be able to see within normal range with or without corrective lenses.
