Safety Hazmat Technician, Starting $75,000.00- $85,000.00 Full-Time, Monday-Friday 40 Hours per week Earn 1 week of vacation after 90 days of employment Come and experience the difference with R+L Carriers R+L Carries has an immediate opening for a Safety Hazmat Technicianin our Memphis, TN service center office. Reporting to the Directorof Safety, the Hazmat Technician is responsible for the performanceof tasks associated with emergency response, hazardous andnon-hazardous materials clean-up, site-remediation, equipmentdecontamination, handling of hazardous materials, and other dutiesas required. Requirements

  • 40 Hour
OSHA HAZWOPER

certification required

  • Based on OSHA and industry health standards, wear proper personalprotective equipment
  • equipment when required
  • Work effectively and communicate with team members and otherdepartments
  • Inform the management team of issues that arise on jobs in atimely manner
  • Update job notes daily
  • Physically fit; able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Able to thrive in a high-pressure and fast-paced team-supportedenvironment
  • Lead safety in all aspects of emergency response, includingfollowing R+L
  • procedures, properly containerizing waste/re-use products, andcompleting safety
  • documentation, and upholding R+L’s high level of safety
  • Experience operating tools applicable to emergency responseactivities
  • Set up and participate in live training events to ensure thecompetency of personnel
  • Audit incoming/outgoing hazardous materials shipments forcompliance
  • Ability and willingness to coach co-workers on unsafe behaviorsobserved
  • Willing to participate in specialized scheduled projects asrequired
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications such as, but notlimited to, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, customer service, andproblem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to work in a confidential capacity
