Hazmat Field Supervisor – Hazmat Operations (HOT ZONE)
Location:
Kannapolis/ Surrounding Area | Flexible & On-Call Availability. This is not an opportunity with set hours. You should already have a main source of income. This is extra side money. You tell me when you are available. If a call comes in, I reach out to see if you’re available. Hazmat Heroes is looking for a reliable, hands-on Hazmat Field Supervisor to join our field team. You will be supervising technicians who are handling hazardous materials directly — and you’ll play a crucial front line role helping us keep operations running smoothly and safely.
What You’ll Do:
Oversees multiple hazmat response teams across hot, warm, and cold zones. Develops on-scene tactical strategies in coordination with Operations Chief and Incident Command. Supervises setup and operation of decontamination corridors, staging areas, and command tents. Ensures proper allocation of resources, equipment, and PPE based on the hazard classification. Verifies all personnel are HAZWOPER-compliant and properly cleared for respiratory protection. Conducts safety briefings and task reassignment based on hazard evolution and entry team status. Leads mid-level reporting efforts, including chain-of-custody forms, site sketches, and zone rosters. Coordinates with environmental consultants, site owners, and public safety personnel as needed. Provides backup to the Operations Chief in their absence and manages scene logistics. Conducts after-action reviews and provides performance feedback to team leaders. You are still require to work in the field with your technicians.
What We’re Looking For:
HAZWOPPER 40 CERTIFICATION
Previous Experience as a Hazmat Technician Previous Hazmat supervisor experience Great communication and attention to detail Comfortable operating in confined spaces Must be 18+ with reliable transportation
