Job Description:

The operation and maintenance of vacuum furnaces, sub-systems, and ancillary equipment. The performance of Pyrometric testing and certification of vacuum furnace equipment. The Vaccum Technician must understand vacuum system fundamentals and operation. Experience thermally processing aerospace materials such as stainless steel, copper, nickel and cobalt alloys, titanium wrought alloys, casting, and additive manufacturing. Familiar with pre and post-process testing such as hardness testing. Familiar with performing vacuum furnace preventative maintenance.

Required Skills:

Minimum of 3 years of aerospace vacuum thermal processing experience.

Required Education:

2 years of technical college or 5 years of minimum on-the-job training working with vacuum heat-treating furnaces.
