Goldsmith Bench Jeweler Highlands Jewelers Inc. 3750 US Highway 27 N, Sebring, FL 33870 Highlands Jewelers is a 3rd-generation-owned and operated retail store specializing in high-quality jewelry repair and custom jewelry. We are a member of the American Gem Society and IJO. We are accepting applications for all skill levels. Our pay range is $50,000-$80,000. Pay is based on your skill level. Our ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience and be efficient in all types of ring sizing, half shanks, prong re-tipping, restorations of rings, stone tightening, rhodium plating, head replacements, and setting all shapes of gemstones and diamonds. Highly skilled in soldering with the torch and experienced with laser work. A candidate that can handle most ring sizings, half shanks, chain repairs (tabs, rivets), basic to complicated solder jobs, prong tipping, and simple stone setting will be started at $52,000 a year with a $250 per month medical stipend, 3 weeks PTO, company-matched 401K, and bonuses. If needed, we will add to your skills, including laser welding, advanced stone setting, casting, wax carving, fabrication, and CAD. Your pay will increase as your skills improve. We are looking for a bench jeweler, so you will not be asked to answer phones or sell jewelry, and customer interaction will be limited to as little or as much as you want. Continuing your education is important to us. When appropriate, we will encourage you to take classes at GRS and other similar schools for what we cannot teach you. We will pay for classes and travel. Company time will be allocated to practicing new skills each week, if desired. Our shop is well-equipped, but I am a tool junky and will be willing to add any tool you need to make your job easier. Sebring, FL, was recently aired on Hometown Makeover and is changing and growing. Primarily a retired community, but more young families are choosing to raise their families here. We have lots of lakes and golfing. The cost of living is very reasonable, and no state income tax. We are located in the middle of the state, which leaves about a 2-hour drive to either coast.
