The ideal candidate will have a passion for craftsmanship and a keen eye for detail, capable of repairing high-quality jewelry pieces. This person should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communication skills and be able to make good, sound decisions with strong problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Set up the shop each day by filling and powering on equipment like the steamer, ultrasonic cleaner, and laser welder.
- Diamond Setting, Gemstone Stone Setting, Ring Sizing, Cleaning, Polishing, Rhodium and Gold Plating
- Move client repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality and timely service
- Accurately track and store gold stock, findings, and loose stones with the correct paperwork
- Manages supply expenses by keeping inventory levels sufficient, without overstocking
- Maintain the shop and your personal work area to ensure it is clean and organized
- Maximizes returns on precious metal recoveries by following asset recovery procedures
- Follows safety protocols to reduce accident risks
- Assists in communicating to store associates on repair policies to ensure clarity
- Must be able to collaborate and assist other Jewelers when necessary
- Ensure quality and precision in every task, while keeping paperwork, and orders organized to prevent any mix-ups
- Work must be consistent with our high standards of quality, and punctuality.
Requirements:
4 years of experience, Team player, Problem solver, and Solution and detail-oriented
Environment:
Professional Jeweler Owned Store Workstation with Bench Microscope 2 Laser Welders on site Electric Rolling Mill Separate polish area with proper ventilation Shop is up to date with necessary tools and equipment Full-time One weekday (your choice, excluding Mondays) and Sunday off Experience with custom or antique jewelry is a plus, but not required.
