We are seeking a skilled Locksmith Technician to join our team, installing electronic and mechanical door locking hardware, automatic ADA door operators, and performing various security-related installations. Job Summary As a Locksmith Technician, you will: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic door hardware, including access control locks, automatic door operators, and security locking systems Cut and duplicate keys, ensuring precise key fitting and functionality Install cable raceways in existing doors to accommodate electronic locking hardware Recertify fire-rated doors to ensure compliance with safety regulations Work closely with our team to integrate security solutions for commercial properties Beyond traditional locksmithing, we provide hands-on training for the right candidate to develop expertise in electronic access control systems, electronic intrusion systems, IP-based intercoms, software configuration, and CCTV systems. Demonstrating technical aptitude, commitment, and a willingness to learn will open the path to becoming a fully trained and licensed locksmith with advanced security system knowledge. What You’ll Learn In addition to the traditional responsibilities of a locksmith, you will also gain hands-on experience in advanced security technologies, including: Access control system setup, including electronic keypads, card readers, and advanced security locks CCTV and security system installation and configuration for surveillance infrastructure Blueprint reading and technical diagram interpretation for security system planning Computer networking and IP-based security device configuration and documentation Construction site safety and OSHA compliance best practices And much more Our mentor-guided training program ensures you build the expertise needed to excel in this dynamic and rapidly growing industry. Key Responsibilities Install and maintain electronic and mechanical locking hardware Set up and service automatic ADA door operators Cut and duplicate keys with precision to ensure proper function Install cable raceways in existing doors to support electronic locking hardware Recertify fire-rated doors to maintain compliance with safety regulations Assist with access control system installations, electronic intrusion systems, and IP-based intercom setups Support the installation of surveillance cameras, structured cabling, and device setup Collaborate with project managers and technicians to ensure seamless execution Follow safety protocols and maintain a professional, team-oriented approach Perform additional duties as assigned with a commitment to quality workmanship Qualifications Previous locksmith experience required Valid driver’s license with Real ID obtained within 30 days Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Strong desire to learn and grow within the industry Required travel throughout North Carolina Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, or overnight shifts as needed Comfort working on ladders and aerial man-lifts Commitment to professionalism and presenting yourself in a neat manner
