Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Ability to consistently lift and/or pull 100lbs, climb, kneel, and bend frequently
5 years of work related experience
Work independently with limited supervision
Valid South Carolina Driver’s License
Experience with Technology Systems Setup and integration.
Reports To:
Assistant Director of Emergency Preparedness
Job Goal:
To facilitate the transport, setup/tear-down, operation, and safe keeping of School District Weapons Detection Systems. These systems will be deployed on a daily basis to Greenville County School District buildings to increase the safety and security of students/staff throughout the school year.
Performance Responsibilities:
Deployment of the EVOLV weapons detection systems
Safe Transportation to and from deployment sites
Ability to use and care for power tools, generators, and electrical equipment necessary for successful deployment and operation of the detection systems.
Ability to stand for long periods of time (Up to 8-10 hours per day).
Must be willing to cooperate with and work alongside law enforcement on a day to day basis
Must be able to coordinate, plan, schedule deployments daily
Ability to interact with school administration and students in a professional and safe manner.
Must be flexible with scheduling up to and including evening, weekend, and overtime hours scheduled with little notice
Ability to lift up to 100lbs frequently and consistently
Ability to push/pull up to 100lbs consistently and frequently
Experience and proficiency with driving a full size truck while pulling a enclosed trailer (approx. 25-30′).
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Terms of Employment:
12 months with salary determined by current salary schedule (MAINWH-H-Level 2) as approved by the Board of Trustees of the School District of Greenville County.
