Looking for Lead Access Control Installer at TEKsystems TEKsystems specializes in the design and installation of voice and data cabling, AV systems, security systems, and VoIP telephony for organizations within Middle Tennessee and surrounding states. TEKsystems is looking to bring on a skilled Lead Access Control Installer to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing and maintaining access control systems, including door strikes and magnetic locks, in commercial settings. This position does not need to be proficient within programming but will need to have some exposure to it and wants to learn. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Lead will get company vehicle, gas card, cell phone, laptop.
Responsibilities:
Install and test access control systems, including door strikes and magnetic locks, in commercial settings. Perform cutting and fitting of door strikes and mag locks to ensure proper installation and functionality. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with access control systems and other security equipment. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of security systems to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and provide tailored solutions. Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in security technology and access control systems. Drive to various job sites; a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a DMV check are required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Access Control Installer or similar role. Strong knowledge of access control systems, including door strikes and magnetic locks. Proficiency in cutting and fitting door strikes and mag locks. Experience working in commercial settings. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals. Strong communication and customer service skills. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Relevant certifications in security systems or access control (preferred).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment. Comfortable working in various environments, including heights and confined spaces. Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
