Job Description
Mechanical Service Engineer, Birmingham, up to £18.14 per hour + Vehicle
- Servicing, repairing, trouble shooting, stripping, and rebuilding mechanical power presses on site at customers works.
- Working on power presses from 1 ton – 1000 tons capacity.
- Experience on pneumatic, hydraulic and lubrication systems.
- Must have knowledge of the various types of mechanical and friction clutch and brake units.
- Must have a good mechanical understanding of presses including clearances, setting slides, stripping, rebuilding & setting clutches / brakes etc.
- Training offered.
Details:
- Must have a full clean driving licence.
- Must have their own tools.
- A van is provided.
- Tool allowance.
- Mobile Phone allowance.
- Would be required to travel and work nationwide and sometimes work away and stay overnight.
- Must fill in all their own paperwork, service sheets and time sheets.
- Qualification PCN level 2 in NDT crack detection advantageous.
Salary:
£18.14 per hour (for fully qualified power press engineer).
Work Location:
Based out of their premises in Birmingham and to travel to customer premises. Having a works van would mean that you would not have to pay fuel to and from work and obviously no wear and tear on your own vehicle.
