JobDescription Job Summary:

Under minimum supervision, set up,program, and operate all types of CNC machinery that automaticallymills, punches, drills, broaches or reams metal and/or plasticparts. Make adjustments to adhere to established specifications orto correct faulty programming. Make decisions as to quality,tolerances and operation sequence. Tasks and assignments includethe complex and non-routine. Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned. /n

• Program,set up, and operate CNC machinery independently. Perform prototypework from detailed specifications. Exercise considerable care ofequipment, tools, parts, machines, and materials to prevent damage./n
• Plan, layout, fabricate, and assemble the most complexproduction machined parts and highly complex prototype research anddevelopment machined parts. /n
• Interpret drawings, route sheetsand other specifications to ascertain nature of assigned workorders. Determine own work procedure of assigned number of pieces,types of metal, types of machines, tools and attachments, speedsand feeds, tolerances and sequences of operations. Exercisesconsiderable judgment, ingenuity, initiative in the planning,layout and performance of all assignments. /n
• Compute accuratemathematical dimensions needed to manufacture parts of a complexnature. Use precision measuring instruments. /n
• Perform qualitymachining of various types of materials as needed.

/n /nSupervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisoryresponsibilities but may provide technical leadership tolower-level CNC Machinists/Machinists including carrying out leadresponsibilities in accordance with applicable regulations and lawsand the organization’s policies and procedures. This includes, butis not limited to training employees, planning, assigning,directing work and resolving technically related work problems.

Experience:

High schooldiploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent knowledgegained through formal education including vocational training.

Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of machine shop experiencethat include machine programming. Ability to use shop mathematics,drawings and measuring tools. Position may require one or more ofthe following (Site/CBU Specific): Other Essential Duties

• Followsall import/export requirements, consulting with facilityimport/export personnel as required. /n Other Skills and Abilities/n
• Basic Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100 /n
• Working knowledge ofLean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen /n
• Knowledge of specificsoftware (design, analysis, ERP) /n /n Other Qualifications /n
• USCitizenship with ability to attain/maintain government securityclearance. /n
• Ability to travel (domestically/internationally)approximately __

Schedule:

We will be operating onThree (3) 12 Hour Shifts, but you will be compensated for 40-hourshifts. /n
