ATSS has a client in Bay Minette looking for a CNC Machinist.# Summary DescriptionThe Basic CNC Machinist is responsible for the production of machined parts within quality and efficiency guidelines established by the company.# Essential Duties and Responsibilities#
Production:
Produce parts to blueprint specification.
Produce parts within efficiency guidelines established by the company.
Independently operate ad perform setup on 1 assigned piece of CNC Equipment.
Independently operate at least 1 additional piece of CNC Equipment.
With assistance, perform set up on 1 additional piece of CNC equipment.
With close supervision, periodically load and run CNC Equipment that has been set up by qualified personnel (in addition to assigned equipment, as backup to regular operator).Perform operations on conventional mills that have been set up by qualified personnel.
Submit all labor/time and production documents timely and accurately (job cards, time cards, built tickets, stock movement tags, etc.).Perform 5S (organization, orderliness, cleanliness, standardized clean up, discipline).Operate CNC or manual equipment.
Operate multiple machines concurrently as required.
Use Kan-Ban or shop orders for production.
Accurately record data in chart, graph or computer.
Understand engineering documentation: BOM, routing, inspection requirements.
Perform quick change (drop and lock) set ups.
Change tools.
Perform external set ups.
Problem identification.
Provide direction and assistance to other machine shop personnel as needed.
Work to improve machine shop cycle times.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Prompt regular attendance.#
Quality:
Responsible for completing daily quality audit sheets.
Adhere to router instructions and print specifications.
Perform in-process quality audits as required.
Produce parts within quality guidelines established by the company.
Check parts for quality assurance as instructed, using appropriate instruments.
Work with Supervisor and Quality Assurance personnel to monitor output quality and take appropriate action (correction or shutdown) to minimize production of unacceptable parts or product.
Work with Quality Assurance personnel to determine cause of quality defects.
Work with Quality Assurance, Production Control and Supervisor to recommend and implement corrective actions as needed.#
Safety:
Maintain safe working environment.
Report any possible safety hazards to supervisor.
Use designated personal protection devices as required.
Comply with all safety policies.
Report any work related injury or illness promptly to supervisor.
Complete safety training as required.#
Preventive Maintenance:
Comply with preventive maintenance requirements established by maintenance personnel.
Communicate to Supervisor and Maintenance Department any suspected problems with machinery in order to reduce or prevent machine downtime.
Prompt regular attendance is required.#
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Experience:
High School Diploma or EquivalentMust possess basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints.
One year experience in the set up and operation of conventional and CNC equipment or equivalent technical education/experience.
Experience with Gibbs Programing Software preferred.#
Language Skills:
Read, write, and verbally communicate in English.#
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in using the personal computer, including Windows-based applications.
Experience with Oracle, SAP, or similar inventory control system.#
Reasoning Abilities:
