Role/Purpose:
The MP Machinist II is responsible for set-up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Physically and systematically receive and verify raw material receipts
Ability to safely load and unload material both manually and utilizing a forklift
Communicate material location changes with inventory team
Deburr parts and help ensure quality standards are met
Following the work schedule as assigned and ability to layout the correct priorities for the work scheduled
Ensure all parts produced is confirmed in SAP, tagged and staged in proper locations
Perform cycle counting as required
Install machine programs and modifications as required
Operates any 1 CNC Mill (Haas TM, Haas VF, Doosan DNM5700) or CNC Lathe (Haas SL30, Haas ST40, Doosan Lynx 2600) or plastic routers
Performs routine preventative maintenance on machinery
Performs Quality at the Source checks on made parts
Accurately records actual labor estimates on all production orders
Keeps work area(s) clean and organized to 5S standards
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and sit for long periods of time
Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
What You Need to Succeed
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work with basic hand tools, squaring and straight edge tools
Ability to safely load and unload machines with various materials
Ability to prioritize and problem solve
Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and engineered drawings
Basic to intermediate SAP system experience
Basic Lean Manufacturing understanding
Ability to multi-task
Ability to perform duties using imperial and metric measurements
Able to follow written and oral instructions
Ability to work in high-paced environment
Basic knowledge of set-up functions
Ability to be detailed oriented
Safety awareness
This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.

•Minimum Education /
Experience Required:
High School diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of experience in similar environment/position
OR
Meets all internal Mfg. Training/Skills Matrix qualifications for level II
