Opportunity:

The Machinist II AWW Weekend Shift position performs all aspects necessary for the machining processes used in the manufacturing of components.

Location:

Stuart, Florida – Onsite Role.

Responsibilities:
Under General Supervision:

Operates all manual, CNC, or EDM machines to perform completely and independently specific operations as outlined in the methods and process sheets
Changes, sets, and adjusts precision tools as required
Loads and deletes programs in the computer
Makes minor adjustments of feeds and speeds on the assigned machine
Grinds own cutting tools and drills (other than special purpose tools)
Maintains specific tolerances and accurately performs dimensions
Checks parts using specified gages or furnished fixtures to ensure dimensions are maintained
Performs routine maintenance checks and reports improper machine function
Maintains a neat and orderly work area
Follows all applicable safety rules and precautions
Assists with related training of other employees as needed
Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Working knowledge of the machinability of metals, with a good mechanical aptitude
Knowledge and ability to use machinist’s hand tools and precision measuring instruments
3 years of relevant manufacturing experience or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and blueprints
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Good math skills, with the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Effective written and verbal communications skills to write routine reports and correspondence and to speak before employees in the organization

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Schedule:

Friday-Sunday 6AM to 6 PM – 5%

The employee is occasionally required to sit.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
