Job Description:

The essential functions of the job include, but are not limitedto, the following: Machine parts to specifications using CNCmulti-axis equipment such as lathes, milling machines, grinders orEDM. Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge ofmathematics and instruments such as micrometers and calipers.

Measure and visually inspect completed components in process todetect defects and ensure conformance to specifications usingprecision instruments based on drawing or work instructionrequirements. Set-up, adjust and operate all of the manual and CNCmachining centers in order to perform precision machiningoperations. Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools,attachments accessories and materials onto machines. Monitor speedand feed rates during the machining process to complete machiningefficiently and within tolerances. Study sample parts, drawings, orengineering information in order to determine methods and sequencesof operations needed to fabricate product and determine productdimensions and tolerances. Select the appropriate tools, machinesand materials to be used in preparation for machining work based onwork instruction. Maintain industrial machines per the requireddaily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance schedule. Conferwith engineering, technical lead, supervisor and manufacturingpersonnel in order to exchange technical information. Fit andassemble parts to make or repair machine tooling.
