As an CNC Machine Operator, also known as a CNC Machinist your roles are to operate computer-controlled machines to precisely cut, shape, and manufacture parts from various materials, following blueprints and production plans, and ensuring quality and efficiency.
Set up and operate CNC machines: They load raw materials, adjust machine settings, and monitor the operation to ensure accurate and efficient production.
Follow blueprints and production plans:
They interpret technical drawings and translate them into machine instructions.
Maintain and troubleshoot machines:
They perform routine maintenance, identify and resolve minor issues, and ensure the machines are operating correctly.
Inspect finished parts:
They check the quality of the manufactured parts to ensure they meet specifications.
May be involved in programming:
Some operators may also be responsible for writing or modifying G-Code, the programming language used by CNC machines.
