Job Description
Responsible for setting up and operating manual machining equipment to produce precision components based on technical specifications. Job Requirements Experience operating manual machines such as lathes, mills, drills, grinders, and hand tools Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, work instructions, and technical data Proficiency in using precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, dial indicators, and thread gauges Understanding of machine shop math and standard machining practices Willingness to work extended hours including day and night shifts during peak seasons (Spring/Fall) Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area Preferred Skills Familiarity with determining tooling requirements and machining methods Experience documenting machining setups and inspection results Basic knowledge of preventative maintenance for manual machines Job Responsibilities Set up and operate manual machining equipment according to specifications Perform accurate measurements and inspections to ensure part conformity Maintain equipment, tooling, and workspace in a safe and functional condition Identify and report unsafe conditions or deviations from process standards Support continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with team to meet production goals Follow established safety protocols and company procedures at all times
