Our client in Monroe, LA is seeking a CNC Machinist with strong manual machining experience to join their growing team.

Hours & Pay Schedule:

Day Shift (full-time, steady hours)

Pay Rate:

Starting at $20/hour

Employment Type:

Direct Hire What You’ll Be Doing Setup, operate and maintain manual and CNC lathes, mills, and drill presses
Machine small to large equipment parts with tight tolerances
Create basic programs using a VPS system on the machine
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, micrometers, calipers, and scales
Ensure machines are properly maintained and running efficiently
Utilize rigging equipment, overhead cranes, and forklifts safely
Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors on project needs
Troubleshoot equipment issues and identify solutions

2+ years of CNC programming experience
Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret technical documents
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Good attitude, urgency, and self-motivation are must-haves
Must be able to perform physical tasks including bending, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs
