Job Description Job ProfileThe CNC Machinist serves as a Subject Matter Expert in metal alloyproduction, responsible for programming, machining, and packagingfinished products. Follows work instructions to complete shoporders on time while ensuring quality and accuracy. KeyResponsibilities /n
- Operate and program CNC and manual equipment(Lathe, Mill, Saw, Laser Engraver) to produce quality partsefficiently. /n
- Follow safety policies and maintain a clean,organized work area; report incidents promptly. /n
- Use ERP (IFS)system for inventory management, labor entry, and workflowadjustments. /n
- Support inventory control, including auditing andreordering supplies. /n
- Perform equipment maintenance, repairs,and hazardous waste coordination duties. /n
- Assist in New ProductDevelopment (NPD) and document procedures aligned with LGC’sQuality System. /n
- Complete special projects and exemplifycompany core values daily. /n /n Qualifications /n
- Associatesdegree with exposure to science (e.g. chemistry or biology); orrelated experience and/or training; or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience strongly preferred. /n
- Demonstratedability in a machinist role, or an Associate’s/Certificate from anaccredited school. /n
- 2 years CNC Lathe programming and machiningexperience required. /n
- Microsoft Office skills and ERP systemfamiliarity required. /n
- Proficient in math. /n
- Strongattention to detail, accuracy and safety. /n /n Competencies /n
- Proficient in taking precision measurements and identifying metalalloys by physical characteristics. /n
- Skilled in maintainingorientation of cast metal parts throughout the manufacturingprocess. /n
- Experience operating CNC Lathes and Mills; machiningvarious alloys preferred (e.g., Nickel, Magnesium, Zinc, CastIron). /n
- Strong computer skills, including CNC programming anduse of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). /n
- Excellentcommunication, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities./n
- Self-motivated with a practical, hands-on approach tochallenges.
