Machinists needed; metallurgical plant: Columbus, MS. Starting $19/hr. Full benefits package after probation period. MUST have experience operating various machinery & measuring tools, have a valid Driver’s License & High School diploma or G.E.D. Job Duties
Operating machinery to form and shape material
Work from drawings and written instructions to create replacement and new parts in making repairs to metal parts
Perform daily maintenance checks on machinery
Required Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a machinist
Previous experience working with Micrometers, calipers, bore gages, and other hand tools
Skills
Knowledge of various metals and of measurements used in machining process
Must have a valid Driver’s License
Ability to become Forklift Certified by company
Education
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
