The Arden campus offers a multitude of career opportunities and is in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. This position will machine components by operating various machines and equipment. Key responsibilities Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions. Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications. Loading and unloading of CNC machinery. Packing out finished material into dunnage. Loading and unloading CMM/Measurement systems. Cleaning and organizing of work areas (5S standards). Read and understand internal procedures and policies Working knowledge of component balancers and ability to balance components as required. Transport material as required using proper handling methods. Keep work area in orderly condition with respect to proper materials, tools, equipment, and personal belongings. (Includes cleaning of equipment, floors, tables, etc.) Maintain quality standards by following proper inspection procedures. Understand and adhere to current health, safety, and environmental policies. Understand and adhere to current quality and control policies. Perform other duties as needed. What we’re looking for Completion of high school or equivalent. Experience in fast paced industrial environment; 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred. Basic and advanced math skills (decimals, addition, subtraction, fractions. ratios, proportions) Geometry and trigonometry is a plus. Attendance on the job is essential.
