Experienced CNC Manchinist

Matthews, NC 28104 International Construction Equipment, Inc, a leading manufacturer of pile driving and drilling equipment, is seeking an Experienced CNC Machinist in our Matthews, NC office. We are located outside of southeast Charlotte and offer a fast-paced work environment with ample opportunity for growth and professional development. ICE® is a family-owned business since 1974 with locations across the United States, and operations internationally. As a Machinist you will work hands-on in a job shop environment supporting new product sales and service of fleet equipment by setting-up and operating CNC Turning Center and CNC/manual milling machinery. Experience with horizontal boring mills and vertical machining centers is required.

Responsibilities:

• Develops a machining plan based on blueprint requirements and raw materials provided
• Set up, run, and adjust machine tools and machine equipment to achieve size, finish, and tolerance
• Operate and troubleshoot equipment throughout operation to ensure part quality
• Designs and fabricates simple fixtures to facilitate machining
• Operates equipment in a clean, safe, and efficient manner
• Measures machined features to verify compliance with dimensional requirements
• Proficient with machining practices and measurement techniques necessary to produce parts that conform to our drawings and tolerances.
• Maintains equipment by performing preventative maintenance tasks
• Operate lift trucks and overhead cranes to move raw & machined components
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the set-up and operation of CNC and manual milling equipment
• Possess the technical skills and hands-on ability necessary to machine component used in ICE® products
• The ability to effectively communicate with professional staff in planning, engineering, and management roles
• Organizational skills to support the precision-oriented nature of the position
• Basic computing skills required to process job orders and issue raw materials
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing and glasses
• Strong attention to detail
• Maintain good attendance and reliability as well as work required hours to help meet production schedule
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
