Work also includes the assignment and review of tasks performed by other trades personnel in related repair work. Monitors the quality and quantity of Machine Shop work. Use the computer and compiles time records to accurately transcribe daily timecards and equipment maintenance. Research new or better methods of repairs and is actively involved in the cost evaluation of jobs for cost savings. Will operate CNC (Computer Numerical Control) equipment which involves setting up the machine with the workpiece, selecting the correct tools, loading a pre-programmed CNC program (written in G-code), and monitoring the machining process while making adjustments as needed.
