- Fixer 1st and 2nd shift
Summary:
Monitor and assist with set up and repairs for a set of machines that automatically produce knitted gloves and other apparel by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. + Clean, oil and lubricate machines as needed. + Validate machine based on setup ticket to produce glove to specification. + Check gloves for defects, size gloves and perform maintenance on machines as needed. + Confer with co-workers to obtain information about problems or processes. + Constantly performs inspection of knitting machines to determine whether repairs or adjustments are needed, will repair if necessary. + Notify supervisor or head fixer of mechanical malfunctions, if unable to solve problem. + Help catch lights, clip strings and check gloves when caught up. + Repair or replace worn or defective needles, sinkers and jacks as needed. + Help keep production area clean and organized. + Perform duties of knitter as needed and during knitters break times.
