We are seeking a Permanent Lead Machinist to join ourteam and play a vital role in the production process. This is aunique opportunity to utilize your skills and experience in CNCmachining to lead a team and drive efficiency and productivity. Asa Permanent Lead Machinist, you will be responsible for overseeingall machining operations, ensuring quality control, and mentoringjunior machinists.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead a team ofmachinists, providing guidance and mentorship to junior members.

Oversee all CNC machining operations, ensuring safety, efficiency,and quality control. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, andtechnical drawings. Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines toperform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc. Understandspecifications of the task at hand and the desired result byreading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc. Translate instructionsinto computer commands so the machines can perform the correctfunction. Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto themachines. Inspect and measure finished products and compare themwith requirements to determine if the process has been completedproperly. Check and maintain machinery daily to ensurefunctionality. Adhere to all safety protocol, including use ofpersonal protective equipment and ensuring machinery and tools arein safe operating condition. Participate in ongoing training anddevelopment opportunities to maintain current knowledge in thefield. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Associate’s degree or completion of a machinist apprenticeshippreferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC machinist isrequired. Proven experience as a lead or supervisory machinist isstrongly preferred. In-depth knowledge of the working properties ofmetals and other materials. Proficiency in reading and interpretingmechanical documents and drawings. Computer savvy with a detailedunderstanding of computer-aided design (CAD) software. Mechanicalaptitude and good math skills. A keen eye for detail andresults-driven approach. Excellent leadership and team managementskills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-drivenenvironment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
