We’re looking for sharp minds and steady hands — whether you’re an experienced toolmaker or an aspiring machinist eager to grow. We’re looking for people who are mechanically sharp, eager to learn, and ready to join a team that takes craftsmanship seriously. This role is open to machinists at all experience levels. We provide training and mentorship for the right candidate.
What You’ll Do:
Sharpen and rework die sections, punches, and cut-off tools with precisionFabricate or repair custom tooling and fixtures for our springmaking operationsUse a wide range of machines: mills, grinders, lathes, band saws, CNC equipmentInterpret blueprints and part drawings for complex tooling componentsMeasure with precision using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and comparatorsWork with tool steels like O-1, A-2, and D-2 — and apply proper heat treatmentTorch work, welding, and hands-on problem-solving when things don’t go as plannedCollaborate with engineers, production leads, and fellow tradespeople
What We’re Looking For:
1+ years of experience in a manufacturing, machining, or tool room environmentConfidence with machine tools — whether manual or CNCComfortable using precision measuring instruments and basic shop mathAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawingsExperience with or interest in tool steels and heat treatment processesYou love working with your hands, and you care about doing quality workTeam-first attitude — but able to work independently with minimal supervisionNice to Have (but not required):
Formal machinist or toolmaking trainingCNC programming or setup experienceDie making or stamping tooling experienceMilitary or vocational background in mechanics or fabrication
