Job Description:

CNC Lathe Machinist Objective Seeking a skilled machinist toprogram and operate CNC turning centers for metal and non-metalparts fabrication. This position requires expertise in machine shoptheory, mathematics, material properties, and precision layouttechniques for two to four axis CNC lathes. ResponsibilitiesAnalyze engineering drawings and specifications to determineworkpiece dimensions, tolerances, and operational sequences Mountand align appropriate fixtures, tooling, and materials on CNClathes Program machine parameters including cutting speeds, feedrates, coolant flow, and cutting angles Monitor operations toidentify malfunctions or quality issues, making necessaryadjustments Conduct trial runs to verify accuracy of machinesettings and programming Inspect finished parts using precisionmeasuring instruments (micrometers, height gauges, CMMs) Performproper deburring and part protection procedures Maintain equipmentfunctionality and organize tooling and fixtures RequirementsDemonstrated ability to set up and operate CNC lathes Proficiencyin measurement techniques and quality control, including bore gaugeoperation Strong blueprint reading skills with ability to interpretvarious views, tolerances, and bills of materials Programmingexperience with Fanuc and Haas controllers Knowledge of materials,dimensional requirements, and threading specifications Ability toset tool offsets, modify cutter compensation values, and establishmachine zeros Understanding of G-code programming fundamentalsExperience writing programs using G-code and Quick code Workingknowledge of Mastercam software M1
