CNC / MANUAL MACHINIST Position Available In Erie, Pennsylvania

• Responsible for Machine tool programming in G-Code or Conversational language for the completion of metallic parts per blueprint specifications
• Ability to operate manual machine tools (VTL’s, Turret lathes, engine lathes) in the event there is no CNC work in the shop
• Abililty to operate forklifts, jib and overhead cranes safely
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including GDT tolerancing requirements in the productions of rough-machined metallic parts
• Properly and safely loads raw materials up to 10 tons into various machine tools
• Recognizes and properly applies inserts and tooling to meet blueprint requirements
• Ability to perform basic math calculations in manual machining factors such as speeds and feeds, depth and angle of cuts, or when entering CNC commands
• Quality focus througout machining processes with the use of tape measures, scales,calipers, gauges, micrometers and various other machinist hand tools
• Maintains compliance with safety practices and procedures per OSHA regulations and company policies
• Ability to work independently and problem solve with minimum supervision
• Requires ability to communicate effectively in English language using vision and hearing to maintain safe environment
