JOB SUMMARY

This position is accountable for thesafe and efficient operation of CNC machines and for maintaining aclean, well-organized work area. Primary duties will targetconsistent operation and checking of parts produced on CNCequipment. Position will also include operating computer numericalcontrol (CNC) machine to perform and produce precision metalcomponents; perform actions such as cutting, drilling, milling,boring and broaching as specified by work order, blueprints,drawing, templates or layout.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND

RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Checkdimensions and materials to assure finished parts conform to workorder.
• Assure paperwork is accurate and make good use ofconsumable tools.
• Notify Lead personnel / Set Up Machinist toadvise if machinery is not operating effectively.
• Assure thatsafety precautions are observed at all times including the use ofsafety glasses, safety shoes, ear protection (if applicable) andmachine guards.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Machineparts to specifications, using secondary operation machine tools.
• Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machiningprocess.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

(Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

• Basic understanding of CNC machine operations.
• Ability tocommunicate appropriately with Managers, Supervisors and peers in aprofessional manner

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
