Experienced Heavy Industrial Manual Machinist NORTH CHARLESTON,South Carolina Temp to Perm Phone and face to face interview MajorResponsibilities & Essential Functions Set up, adjust, and operatea variety of machine tools to produce precision parts andinstruments Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprintsand follow instructions Machine parts out of metal Properly andsafely select, align, secure, and remove holding fixtures, cuttingtools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machinesRecognize, deploy, and properly use inserts, fixtures, and toolingMust be able to determine the proper tools required to performgiven task Operate and utilizes lifting aids as necessary toperform work Use gauges and precision measuring instruments to meettolerance requirements Perform daily, regular cleaning and lightmaintenance tasks on machinery and equipment Perform all tasks in asafe and responsible manner while maintaining safe and cleanworking environment by complying with procedures, rules, andregulations Work overtime as needed on evenings and/or weekendsCommunicates with others to coordinate work in plant Other dutiesas assigned Preferred Machining Skills Familiarity with the use of:

Heavy Duty Horizontal Lathes, Milling Machines, Horizontal BoringMills, Vertical Turning Lathes, Planers, Grinders, Drill Presses,Hydraulic Presses, Band Saws, and Portable Tools Turning, Drilling,Tapping, Boring, Honing, Polishing machine processes Large partmachining experience preferred (ship propeller shafting, shipsteering gear, etc.) In-place machining experience is desiredForklift and Crane experience preferred
