We are looking for an experienced Manual Machinist who is a self-starter with excellent problem-solving and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of manual machining operations, processes, and related equipment. The Manual Machinist will be responsible for producing high-precision parts and components for our production operations. Operate manual milling machines, vertical turning lathes, horizontal boring mills, grinders, planers, drill presses, hydraulic presses, band saws, and other related equipment.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and other related documents.
Measure, mark, and layout material for machining operations.
Operate forklifts and cranes as necessary.
Perform drilling, tapping, turning, honing, polishing, and other related processes.
Ensure accuracy and precision of parts and components.
Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
Maintain neat and orderly work area.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machining operations.
Maintain accurate records of production activities.
Collaborate with other personnel to improve machinery and processes.
Qualifications:
Experience as a manual machinist.
Thorough knowledge of manual machining operations, processes, and related equipment.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong attention to detail.
