Machining Apprentice MBI Coatings Lancaster, SC 29720

Position Summary:

Full-time position available for individual looking to gain experience in operating manual lathes and milling machines. Experience with cylindrical grinders, surface grinders, vertical turret lathes, or similar equipment is welcomed and encouraged. Applicant will be expected to utilize this equipment to finish customer parts to specifications detailed by MBI or customer blueprints. Training will be provided.

Position Qualifications:

Ability to watch, listen, learn and retain training for rapid understanding of processes. Understanding of basic math computations. Forklift and crane operating experience a plus. Must be able to communicate English fluently. (Read, Write and Speak) Teamwork skills and positive attitude required!

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

Applicant will be required to:

• Handle industrial machine parts in a safe and professional manner.
• Operate multiple manual machining lathes or similar equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Utilize measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Utilize all equipment to finish parts to specifications
• Record all findings upon receiving and completing customer parts ( Inspections ) Training Will Be Provided Starting Pay May Be Based on
