GENERAL MACHINIST

Fast growing manufacturer is looking for a machine operator – technician with some industrial experience to join our ambitious team. If you’re working in a manufacturer, maintenance shop or machine shop with some hands on experience with manual mills and lathes this could be the opportunity for you!

GENERAL MACHINIST

Employee Specifications:

• Machining experience with manual lathes and optionally CNC mills and lathes
• Basic understanding of milling, drilling and tapping.
• Ability to use basic measuring tools including dial calipers, micrometer, depth mic, height gauge and telescoping gauge.
• Ability to read machining drawings.
• Ability to effectively follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate basic calculator.
• Ability to operate a fork truck.
• Ability to inspect machine work.
• Ability to work in a standing job for 10 hours per shift.
• Dependable to be at work on time and willing to support required overtime as schedule dictates.
• Flexible and willing to work any shift as required Mon-Fri and overtime on Saturday and/or Sunday as needed.
• Ability to work effectively with other machinists in a team environment.

Additional desired skills:

• Machining experience (milling and turning).
• Basic fabrication knowledge and experience.
