Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Adhere to all company HSEQ processes and procedures + Review and comprehend part drawings + Basic operation of turning and milling equipment (simple/non-critical) + Operate a 4-Jaw “Independent Chuck” + Operate Surface Grinder + Operate Band Saw + Operate Drill Press + Polish various valve parts to manufacturer specifications + “Rough out” in house fabricated parts + Machine flanges to within
ASME 16.50
specifications + Drill & tap holes + Knowledge of basic measuring tools (calipers, dial indicators, tape measure, thread gauge) + Introductory learning of various measuring instruments (micrometers, last word indicators, PMI gun, profilometer, thread measurement devices, and veneers)
Positional Requirements & Qualifications:
+ Education & Experience + HS Education or GED Equivalent a plus + Machinist degree preferred + Up to 1 year industry experience + Skills & Abilities + A clear understanding of machining safety + Demonstrates proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) + Proper knowledge to operate rotating equipment + Basic OSHA and TWIC card (TWIC , only if required) + Basic oral & written communication skills + Ability to convert fractions to decimals efficiently and vice versa + Demonstrated “can do” attitude +
Supervision:
+ Close Supervision Required + Must be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to company driving guidelines + Clear background check and drug/alcohol screening
