CNC Machinist
CNC MACHINIST
Location:
Hartsville, Tennessee
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reads and interprets engineering blueprints, methods sheets, gage list and work order to determine required tooling and operational sequences.
- Installs and adjusts alignment of tooling such as drills, cutters, dies and holding devices, using templates, measuring instruments, and hand tools.
- Verifies machine settings such as feeds and speeds, applying knowledge of shop mathematics.
- Monitors machine operation and moves controls to align and adjust position of work pieces.
- Capable of understanding and editing existing G-code programs and offsets.
- Inspects first-piece and verifies conformance at machine setup.
- Performs basic preventive maintenance and cleaning of machines and equipment.
- Communicates quality, safety or machinery problems to Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 3 years of experience setting up CNC mills and/or lathes in a metalworking environment.
- Technical education preferred.
