Finishing Machine Attendant 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars 44 Berkshire Road, Sandy Hook, CT 06482 •4 Day Work Week• 1st Shift Hours 6:00am-4pm Sign on Bonus of $1,000
Primary Responsibility:
At different times, fan and feed flat carton blanks into windowing or gluing machines, pick up either glued or windowed cartons, pack glued cartons into corrugated cases. Perform rework operations.
Major Duties:
1. Fan through cartons being fed into machines to insure they are the correct ones and weed out the damaged ones. 2. Place cartons in feed hopper of machines in accordance with instructions of the machine operator. 3. Start and stop machines on instruction or if machine is not operating properly. 4. Observe the functions of the machine and notify the operator or supervisor of any malfunction. 5. Pick cartons off machine belt. Check for defects. When packing corrugated cases, check to make certain the right cases are being used. Maintain integrity of the carton count and pack in accordance with customer specifications. 6. From time to time sort through finished cartons, inspect for defects and repack for shipment to customer. 7. Maintain departmental and plant safety practices. 8. Enforce plant safety and general housekeeping procedures. 9. Educate coworkers to improve skills and quality of knowledge.
