Our manufacturing company in Putnam, Connecticut, is seeking a dedicated Extrusion Operator to join our team on a second-shift schedule. This position offers a 6-month temp-to-hire opportunity for individuals with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.​

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate extrusion machinery to produce plastic products according to specified dimensions and quality standards.​ Monitor the extrusion process, making necessary adjustments to machine settings to maintain product consistency and quality.​ Conduct regular quality inspections of products to ensure compliance with specifications.​ Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of extrusion equipment to ensure optimal performance.​ Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues to minimize downtime.​ Document production data and maintain accurate records of machine settings and output.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience as an extrusion operator or in a similar manufacturing role is preferred.​ Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate machinery safely.​ Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.​ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.​ Willingness to work second shift hours and overtime as needed.
