The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid background in millwork, carpentry, and machining. This role is essential for ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Job Responsibilities Work directly with the Plant Manager to assist him with tasks necessary to run the department. Manage employees on your shift to ensure schedules are met. Ensure sawyers are trained, and meeting expectations on a daily basis. Coordinate with other shifts to ensure smooth continuous operations. Perform various safety and quality inspections. Ensure safety and quality inspections are performed as scheduled. Coordinate with operators, maintenance, and supply to schedule project work. Follow up on projects to ensure proper completion. Develop, update and maintain SOPS and Checklists for your department. Learn various programs to assist (back-up) scheduling the saws as needed. Requirements MUST Be Bilingual Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or construction setting. Strong knowledge of millwork, carpentry, CNC operations, and machining processes. Proficiency in using hand tools and operating forklifts safely. Familiarity with AutoCAD for design and fabrication purposes is preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
