Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation:
Set up, operate, and monitor coating machines in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs). Adjust machine settings, including speed, temperature, spray rates, and airflow, to ensure optimal coating application. Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance as needed.
Preparation and Production:
Measure, mix, and prepare coating solutions based on precise formulations. Load and unload tablets from coating pans or automated systems. Perform in-process checks to verify coating quality, thickness, and appearance.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct visual and physical inspections of coated tablets to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and product specifications. Record production data accurately, including batch numbers, coating parameters, and quality inspection results.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
Clean and sanitize coating equipment, tools, and work areas to prevent cross-contamination. Perform routine equipment maintenance and document cleaning logs.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and other regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Prior experience as a Coating Operator or in a similar pharmaceutical manufacturing role is preferred.
