Langsenkamp President Job Description We are seeking an experienced Machine Blaster Operator to join our team in Fort Lauderdale. In this role, you will operate industrial blasting equipment to clean, prepare, and finish various surfaces according to specifications while maintaining strict safety standards. Operate and monitor blast cleaning equipment to prepare surfaces according to specifications Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure quality standards are met Removing dirt, paint, grease, and other built-up material from surfaces Select and load appropriate blasting materials based on job requirements Perform regular equipment maintenance and safety checks Assisting with painting or coating as needed Set up containment areas and ensure proper ventilation Clean and organize work areas to maintain safety standards Document completed work and maintain accurate records Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training Basic knowledge of shop fabrication equipment. Minimum of 1 year experience operating industrial blasting equipment Demonstrated knowledge of blast cleaning procedures and safety protocols Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.) Experience with different types of blasting materials and equipment Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents and be familiar with structural steel fabrication Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment Reliable transportation to work location OSHA safety certifications preferred Crane Operator certification preferred

Additional Information Safety Requirements & Physical Requirements:

Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including outdoors and at heights. The work location includes a warehouse and fabrication shop setting, which will expose the employee to dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and loud noises. Position requires frequent physical exertion. Incumbent will frequently be required to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds, and larger amounts with assistance. Incumbent may need to operate a crane or forklift.
