$14 to $20 Job Description We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Saw Operator to join our growing manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating saw machinery according to technical drawings and specifications. This role requires precision, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to quality. Key Responsibilities Machine Setup & Operation Set up saw machines based on technical drawings or cut lists Calibrate machine settings and adjust saw blades, stops, and guides for each job Perform test cuts to ensure setup accuracy before full production runs Quality Control Inspect raw materials for defects or damage before cutting Monitor cuts during operation to ensure precision and consistency Measure finished parts with tape measures, calipers, or micrometers to verify dimensions match specifications Material Handling Load and secure materials onto the saw table using proper lifting techniques Assist in moving cut materials to staging or packaging areas Safely operate a forklift to transport materials within the facility Documentation & Reporting Accurately complete job travelers, production logs, and quality checklists Issue materials and log usage in ERP software to maintain accurate inventory records Report machine malfunctions, safety concerns, or material shortages to supervisors promptly Maintenance & Housekeeping Perform basic machine maintenance such as blade changes and cleaning Ensure work area remains clean, organized, and free of debris Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times Team Support Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow Willingly assist in other production or warehouse tasks when needed Contribute to a positive team environment focused on productivity and quality Qualifications High school diploma or GED 1 year of saw operation experience (preferred) Forklift experience (a plus) Strong basic math skills Ability to read a tape measure and calipers Ability to lift 50-70 lbs Strong attention to detail Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset What We Offer Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance Paid time off (PTO) Profit-sharing program Training and advancement opportunities for motivated individuals A safe, drug-free workplace (pre-employment drug screening required upon offer) We are committed to investing in our employees.
