Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works independently and/or with Maintenance or assigned operating personnel to set up production equipment for proper running of material into desired finished goods; replaces, adjusts and trouble shoots tooling, rollers, etc., to achieve proper run rates and quality parts that meet specs.
- Assures material set-up manufactures a correct finished good by following instructions, direction, specification sheets, blueprints, etc. or some combination thereof.
- Performs the work of Machine Operator I and II as required.
- Assure work in progress and final products meet quality specifications; completes set up sheets; performs quality checks as required by the position including simple to complex measurements and comparisons; informs chain of command of issues; completes operations work sheets as necessary.
- Follows safety requirements for the facility, warehouse and specific position including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); follows environmental and hazardous waste disposal procedures.
- Participates in process improvements, housekeeping and 5S within assigned area and/or within the facility as required or allowed by management.
Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); twelve or more months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; ability to perform simple to complex measurements, quality checks and equipment set up relevant to the position; must have mechanical knowledge, ability, trouble shooting and proper tool(s) usage experience; basic computer skills needed.
