Machine Operator A manufacturing company in Pensacola, Florida is looking for a full-time Machine Operator. This is an excellent opportunity to work in the facility with machinery skills within this local company.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate, and maintain converting machinery
  • Responsible for ensuring the machine produces high-quality products
  • Responsible for reviewing work orders to determine product specifications
  • Responsible for quantity and quality to meet efficiency rates
  • Ensures raw materials are pulled and ready at the machine
  • Review roll quality throughout the job run
  • Uses a forklift to load or unload machines and move products as needed
  • Verifies proper finished product weight and packaging
  • Completes all paperwork accurately and performs well under deadlines while meeting quality standards
  • Responsible for daily maintenance of machine as well as cleaning/housekeeping of work area
Qualifications:
  • At least one year of hands-on experience in manufacturing
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • Forklift Operation experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry are necessary.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be willing to take a mechanical and tape measurement test.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to accurately read a ruler down to the 32nd.
  • Able to frequently stand on their feet for extended periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Able to climb or balance.
  • Able to regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds from ground level.
  • Lifting machine shafts for unwinding and rewinding paper rolls, maneuvering master rolls to load in machines.
  • Able to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse
  • Drug screen and background check required
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Starting wage of $17.50/hour
  • Monday through Thursday, 6:30 am to 5:00 pm, with one hour for lunch. If the production schedule warrants, work on Friday is required during training. After training, must be available for 2nd shift, which is 4:30 PM-6:30 AM with one hour break Monday through Wednesday, work on Thursday when production schedule warrants.
