General Purpose:
The Blending Operator is responsible for accurately preparing and mixing ingredients to create products formulations according to established recipes and quality standards. This role ensures consistent product quality, adheres to safety and sanitation protocols, and supports efficient production processes.
Position Responsibilities:
Measure, weigh, and mix raw ingredients (e.g., gelatin, sweeteners, flavorings, colors) following precise recipes and batch instructions. Operate and monitor blending equipment to ensure proper mixing, heating, and processing of gummy formulations. Inspect ingredients and mixtures for consistency, texture, and quality; report any deviations from standards. Clean, sanitize, and perform basic maintenance on blending equipment to comply with food safety regulations (e.g., GMP, HACCP). Record batch details, ingredient usage, and production data accurately for traceability and compliance. Follow workplace safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and maintain a clean and organized work area. Work closely with production, quality assurance, and packaging teams to ensure smooth operations and timely output.
Minimum Qualification:
Education – High School diploma or GED Experience – Experience in food processing, mixing, or blending (1-2 years preferred). Basic Knowledge of CFR or NSF Standards preferred. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities – Comply with food safety standards (e.g., FDA, HACCP) and GMP practices. Ability to read and follow recipesand technical instructions. Physical stamina to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Basic math skills for measurements and conversions. Familiarity with operating and cleaning industrial mixing equipment.
