Job DescriptionThe Machine Operator – SMT will assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs), operate automated manufacturing equipment, and perform the following duties listed below:

Responsibilities:

Maintain and operate a solder screen printer, Pick and Place machine, and reflow oven.

Daily machine performance verifications prior to production runs.

Reads worksheets and wiring diagrams, receives verbal instructions, or follows sample assemblies, selects components such as transistors, resistors, relays, capacitors, and integrated circuits.

Must be able to perform repetitive production line operations daily.

Maintain necessary documentation.

Ensure work area is clean and organized.

Completes any additional assignments as requested by Department Supervisor.

Comply with and ensure department compliance with all Company policies and procedures.

Other duties as required. 

QualificationsTechnical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret graphs and charts. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees of the organization.

– Highly preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Manual dexterity while handling extremely small and sensitive components.

Ability to perform respective tasks

Experience:

Minimum of one – two years of in line SMT experience or Pick and Place machine experience required. 

Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), equivalent from a vocational school or one (1) year related experience and/or training preferred.

Security:

U.S. Person required (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident). May be required to obtain a security clearance.
