JOB SUMMARY
To utilize standard operating procedure for roll tending process to load, hang, inspect, and manage the roll tending process on a press.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Be able to perform all duties of Level 1 Roll tender Set ink on 1 unit on multiple web jobs Set up three knife trimmer Place units in and out of gear Identify different paper stocks Learn how to set up folders, nip, trolleys, ¼ folder etc. Assisting pressman with other job duties Involved with cost saving input
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 1 years experience as a press jogger and level I rolltender duties. High school education preferred but not required
PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience as a jogger or roll tender in printing industry preferred Ability to work with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Knowledge of web presses and operations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to sit or stand for up to 8-12 hours daily. Must be able to lift or grasp up to 50lbs. Frequent use of hands/fingers to operate machine and/or handle and grasp product. Bend, twist, push, pull, and lift products up to 50lbs repeatedly per shift. Stretch to a max width to tear tape up to 30 times per shift. Be able to kneel on hard surfaces to splice web, occasionally for 10 min periods. Move products 50lbs or less unassisted products more than 50lbs assisted.
